BWA Eye Contact Feb 2011 Newsletter
Newman’s Own Foundation has donated a new 12 seater bus to the Blind Welfare Association (BWA) in Greenacres, South Australia.
BWA spokesperson Tony Starkey said the charity survives almost entirely without government funding yet still manages to provide a number of services for the blind and visually impaired, including a daily transport service.
“Not only to we provide a daily round of home visits, shopping trips and medical appointments for our blind members, the bus is also needed to ensure important social interaction through recreational outings and group activities,” said Mr …
