Our Services
Accessing BWA services
To access BWA’s services you need only to contact our office and speak to one of our staff. Providing you meet the eligible criteria you will be asked to fill out and return a membership form with payment of a ten dollar life membership fee.
Alternatively you may be referred to us by another organisation or person, in which case we will contact you to discuss your needs further.
Please note that accommodation services are open to non members
Eligibility for services
To be eligible for membership with the association you must meet one of the following criteria;
- Receive a Disability Support Pension (Blind).
- Hold a special transport pass issued to blind and vision impaired persons in South Australia.
- Hold a certificate from a legally qualified ophthalmic specialist attesting to your blindness.
- Been determined as blind within the terms of a statute of the Government of Australia.
